What kinds of LEGO MOCs do you like to build?<\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I’m a creature and character builder from Canada. My roots are in Bionicle building, but these days I focus on realistic fantasy characters. Some of my builds are revamps of old characters (Makuta, Gali) or from pop culture (Elesh Norn, Bomb Devil, Hatsune Miku) and some of my builds are original concepts (Viridis Mantidae, Nymphaea). I also like to participate in collabs like Silverpuke and the Bones Collab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where do you get your inspiration?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I get my inspiration from other builders and from concept art I largely find on Pinterest. I also occasionally dump out tons of parts and let the parts guide what I build.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are some of your favorite pieces or building techniques?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lately I’ve been building more with technic and Bionicle. I’ve developed a particular love for technic connector (2 x 7 with 2 Ball Joint Sockets<\/a>) AKA Visorak thigh. The sockets for ball joints give you posability while the array of axle and pin holes are super versatile to build out. I use one in most of my recent builds including several unposted ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who is your favorite Bionicle character?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I always had a soft spot for the original Makuta Teridax. I got him as a set when he came out and also enjoyed his appearance in Mask of Light as a kid, and was happy to be able to do a revamp of him for the MoL collab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other Comments?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I want to shout out all the folks who have been pushing the envelope with building lately, especially Djok, Toni, Max, Kat & Ben. They have been putting out some really interesting and unique stuff and it just goes to show how open-ended this hobby is and how much room for exploration and expression remains. They have inspired me to let go of some of my strongly held convictions around what “good MOC design” means and try something new.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
